The way Americans recycle does not work. We’re doing it differently. It’s not free, it’s not even cheap, and there’s no single stream allowed – everything has to be sorted properly! So why recycle with us?

Maybe recycling is not offered in your area, or, maybe you have more cardboard than the city will pickup, or maybe you want to make sure your glass or styrofoam doesn’t end up in a landfill.

Description

We pickup the following recyclables:

  • Hard Plastics and aseptic containers (Tetra Pak)
  • Aluminum (not attracted to magnets)
  • Metals (no aluminum, attracted to magnets)
  • Paper, including junk mail without contaminants like adhesives or plastic windows
  • Dry compostables
  • Styrofoam (peanuts must be bagged or boxed)
  • Cardboard (broken down)

All items must be sorted. Hard Plastics and aseptics can be together. At this time we take them to RRASOC but we are looking at better alternatives for plastics in the near future.

Dry compostables, small pieces of cardboard, and paper can be together. We compost these items.

Items can be separated by bins or they can be in bags or small boxes inside of the bins, but items must be separated; we must be able to do this job extremely fast and efficiently without contamination! If you bag your recycling and we can untie the bag reasonably easily for reuse, and it’s not too gross, we may leave it for you with the expectation that you reuse it. Or we may reuse them.

Have recycling accessible the night before. Pickups can be as early as 3am and as late as 7pm.

Pickup days vary by location. There may be different pickup days for different items.

Bins are not included.

When recycling is not out for pickup or when it is not sorted properly, recycling will not be picked up, no refunds.
