Sanctuary Farms is our partner.  They are a small farm that takes all of our food waste, and they are the ones making our compost. This is very high quality stuff – the best we’ve ever had to offer.

When you take delivery, you don’t have to be there, but please do be available for our driver to contact if there are any issues. We are usually capable of delivering without anyone being there, especially with clear instructions, so it’s up to you. If we cannot dump at your suggested location we will get as close as we can, and the last option is the street in front of your home being the last option. Leave notes about where to drop at checkout.

We are proud to actively close the food loop within the City of Detroit by diverting food waste on a consistent basis. We divert food waste from local restaurants, events, and homes, while transforming it into a resource for growing food. Once the food waste reaches our farm it undergoes a rigorous process to ensure we are meeting safety standards and creating a quality product.

We are dedicated to compost production for our farm and are in the process of building capacity to sell compost to other farmers and gardeners. Stay tuned for our ability to accept more food waste to create compost.
